Broadcasts & mass messaging — please read

Your business number is a regular local number, and mobile carriers tend to filter or block messages that look like mass messaging. Broadcasts (Pro and VIP) send up to 1,000 recipients one at a time at about one message per second, and delivery is decided by the carriers, not by us. To keep your number healthy: keep messages short and precise, identify your business, text only people who expect to hear from you, and check your list so nothing goes to the wrong person. Job-marketing, recruiting, lead-generation and purchased-list campaigns are not allowed. If carriers flag your number as spam, we may suspend messaging or close your account, and fees already paid are not refunded. Full details in our Terms of Service, section 13b.

How texts are counted. Every plan includes 1,000 SMS segments a month. A plain text up to 160 characters is 1 segment; emoji or longer messages use more. Texts you send and texts you receive both count toward the same balance, including replies to a broadcast. Extra packs of 1,000 segments are available any time from Billing and never expire.
